1. We are awkward in front of the camera and are worried about how this will come across in photos!
I got you! It is my job to help you feel comfortable and rock your engagement session and/or wedding portraits. I am going to guide you through posing and fun prompts so you will feel confident and most importantly have FUN during your photos. You’ll be surprised at just how photogenic you are!
2. Can we print our photos? Do we get the digital files? How does that work?
All my clients get the final high resolution, edited .jpeg files through an online gallery and download link. They also receive print release for their photos. Print release means you can print your photos wherever you want however you want for personal use. I do not watermark or put an ugly logo on any of your photos. They are yours and you should be able to use them and share them to your heart’s content. However, as far as printing, the only printing service I can recommend are photos purchased through your gallery because I know that the color will be perfect and match what you see on your screen. But ultimately where you print your photos is up to you.
3. Can we have the RAW files?
I do not offer the RAW files because asking for RAW files is kind of like asking for a pie before it’s baked…you don’t want that! How I edit my photos is a huge part of my style and service to you. I want to give you something that is finished and beautiful, not something that is half done. And trust me, RAW files are complicated and you have to have specific editing software to even open them. I am here to take away your stress about photos, not add to it by giving you complicated files!
4. How long does it take to get our photos back?
I believe you should get your photos FAST. No one wants to wait months for their wedding photos. That is why my turnaround time for wedding galleries is 4 weeks or less and for engagement and portrait sessions, 2 weeks or less.
5. Have you photographed at our venue before? If not, is that going to be an issue?
Chances are I may have photographed at your venue before, just ask! But if I haven’t, you have nothing to worry about. I schedule venue walk through meetings for venues I have not photographed before. And even on the day of your wedding, I will show up early and make sure I know the current lighting conditions and best photo locations for your day.
6. We really love your style and everything we've read, but we’d like to schedule an in person meeting before we commit, can you do that?
I absolutely understand wanting to meet face to face as photography is a huge decision and a big investment for you. However, my current schedule does not allow me to do in person consults because I get too many inquiries to meet with everyone and I have to prioritize my time for my current clients. However, I am totally up for a phone call or Skype/Facetime call so we can get to know each other!
7. How do we book you for our wedding?
I require a retainer fee of $1000 and signed contract to reserve your wedding date. This all can be taken care of through my online invoice and contract system. I accept credit cards, debit cards, and electronic check. Easy peasy! - Click here contact me!

Working with Karissa for our wedding was a dream. We were lucky enough that Karissa photographed a few days for us: our engagement session, our immediate-family-only church ceremony on our 10th anniversary, and our nearly 200-person wedding with friends and family a couple weeks after that. Karissa Roe is beyond amazing! From our initial phone conversation/interview to the engagement photos, to her magazine explaining and telling you all about her photography and day of info, to the actual wedding day! She is beyond talented, professional, and a breeze to work with. She more than captured our day.
