Mount Rainier National Park
This is iconic Pacific Northwest, whether you go for the summer wildflowers or winter snow, Rainier is always a good idea and is one of my favorite locations.
Hurricane Ridge
Surprisingly accessible with incredible views of the Olympic Mountains right from the parking lot! You can hike as little or as much as you want along the ridge, but still always have the view.
Artist Point
Probably hands down my favorite mountain location! The road is usually open from July to October. Artist Point boasts amazing views of the Cascades and Mt. Baker. There is very little hiking involved if you stay on the trail that circles around Artist Point.
Rattlesnake Lake and Ledge
The hike to the ledge is two miles straight up, but the views are so worth it! The lake is stunning on its own and is characterized by giant stumps dotting the shores.
Deception Pass/Rosario Head and Beach
There are stunning cliffs and epic sunsets out at Rosario, and the Deception Pass Bridge is always a unique backdrop.
Diablo Lake
Insane turquoise blue lake in the heart of the Cascade mountains. The overlook is very easy to get to. You can also take a little hike down to some rocks overlooking the lake.
San Juan Islands
I love anywhere in the San Juans! One of my favorite locations is Lime Kiln State Park on San Juan Island. The park is also called Whale Watch Park. While I was last there shooting a sunrise engagement session, we actually saw Orca whales in the water!
Second Beach at La Push
Beautiful Pacific Northwest Beach with amazing sunsets and sea stacks.
Gold Creek Pond
Just a short walk to this little gem in Snoqualmie Pass. In the winter, the trail is still accessible but snowshoes may be needed.
Snoqualmie Falls
Majestic waterfall that few have access to now as the base has been closed off at the end of the boardwalk… however, I know a way to access the falls from the other side of the river!
